Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez will lead the swearing-in ceremony for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, the Presidential Inauguration Committee announced Thursday.
Lady Gaga, who has a history of activism alongside Biden and campaigned for him during the elections, will perform the national anthem.
There will also be a musical performance by Jennifer Lopez, who spoke out publicly during the pandemic about the disproportionate number of victims from minority communities.
Also participating will be Amanda Gorman, the first National Youth Poet Laureate winner to do a poetry reading.
And Andrea Hall, the president of Section 3920 of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF, for its acronym in English) in Fulton County, Georgia, who will deliver the Pledge of Allegiance.
Hall is also the first black woman in the department's history to be promoted to the rank of fire captain, according to the inauguration committee.
IAFF was the first union to endorse Biden in the primaries when it launched its campaign.

Father Leo J. O'Donovan, a longtime friend of the Bidens and former president of Georgetown University, will perform the invocation.
The Rev. Dr. Silvester Beaman, pastor of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Biden's hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, will give the blessing.

"They represent a clear picture of the great diversity of our great nation and will help honor and celebrate the time-honored traditions of the presidential inauguration when President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris are sworn in on the western front of the United States Capitol." the inaugural committee executive chairman Tony Allen said in a statement about the participants.
“They are also committed to the steadfast vision of the president-elect and vice-president-elect of a new chapter in our American history in which we are one America united to overcome the deep divisions and challenges our people face, unifying the country and restoring the soul of our nation, "he added.
An official with the Presidential Inauguration Committee told CNN that a celebrity-filled primetime special is being produced for the night of a largely virtual inauguration that will take place in lieu of traditional celebrations.
The special will be hosted by Tom Hanks and will air live on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC.
It will be from 8:30 pm to 10 pm Miami time, on January 20.
It will also feature performances by Jon Bon Jovi, who campaigned with Biden in Pennsylvania, Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake and Ant Clemons.
