The Lebanese Parliament approved a bill to regulate the use of medical products to combat the emerging coronavirus pandemic in Lebanon.

The proposal of the Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri was unanimously approved in the legislative session of the House in an urgent manner today, stressing that this law must allow all medical companies and the private sector to import vaccines to combat the Corona pandemic.

The head of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Lebanese MP Assem Araji said, “What Lebanon is currently witnessing in terms of overcrowding at the doors of hospitals, occupying all beds and artificial respirators, the country has not seen in the darkest days,” adding: “We are treating the complications that result from the virus and the Ministry of Health has started its contacts with companies. Producing the vaccine ”.

And earlier today, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 44 deaths and 6,154 new cases of the new Corona virus had been recorded during the past twenty-four hours.
