At about 5 am on Saturday (16th), a building unit at Nos. 35-37 Alia Street, Sham Shui Po, suddenly caught fire. The fire was very violent. The tongue of fire spouted out of the windows and a lot of smoke came out. A large number of residents woke up from their sleep and called the police. Asking for help, dozens of people fled to the ground to take shelter.
The firefighter arrived at the report and used 2 breathing apparatus teams and 1 jet to fight the blaze. The fire was put out after about 22 minutes.
Fortunately, no casualties occurred during the fire. The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire.
