A cat stealing incident occurred in Sham Shui Po.

At 12:00 noon today (16th), a 30-year-old Bangladeshi woman in Sham Shui Po reported that her 16-month-old Japanese Bobtail cat Lily, with black and light brown stripes, was raised at 140A on Ruzhou Street. The number opposite was stolen.

After initial investigation by the police, the case was temporarily listed as theft and was handed over to the Sham Shui Po Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up. No one has been arrested yet.

Cat owner Meher said that at the time of the incident, the neighbourhood witnessed a female thief stealing a cat. He once drank "a cat has been raised back down!", but the other party ignored it.

According to the car cam footage she provided, the female thief reached out from the bottom of a light truck and forcibly captured Lily. The whole cat stealing process only took about 30 seconds.

Meher, a cat owner who runs a grocery store, said that two tabby cat brothers Lily and Kiki are kept in the store.

At 11 o'clock this morning, she opened the shop as usual, and Lily ran out of the store to play. At about 12 o'clock, a female thief appeared and stole Lily.

She pointed out that when the incident happened, a neighbourhood witnessed passing by, and she had stopped "a cat has been raised and lowered back!", but the female culprit ignored it.

The neighbour entered the store and informed Meher that her son immediately ran out of the store and tried to chase the culprit, but failed, so he reported to the police.

Afterwards, nearby shops also provided Meher with cam footage of the car where the female thief stole the cat. It was filmed that the female thief reached out from the bottom of a light truck to catch Lily. A man beside her witnessed her stealing the cat. If nothing happens to hold the cat away, the cat stealing process only takes about 30 seconds.

The police are looking for a female suspect.

She was about 40 to 50 years old, about 1.6 meters tall and of medium build. She was wearing a green jacket, red long-sleeved one-piece dress, black trousers, black sneakers, brown cap and blue mask at the time of the incident.
