A second case of electric shock to death within two days:

A 30-year-old man was killed this evening (Saturday) in Netivot after being electrocuted to death.

An MDA medical team that arrived at the scene tried to perform resuscitation operations on it, but in the end they were forced to determine his death.

The circumstances of the electrocution are not yet clear.

MDA paramedic Uriel Dahan said: "When we arrived at the scene, we were led to a man who was unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing.

We gave him medical treatment and performed prolonged resuscitation operations that included medication, resuscitation and massages but unfortunately in the end we had to determine his death. "

Two days ago, there was a tragic case of an electric shock to the death of a young man from Kiryat Malachi.

The late Chen Cohen, 26, was electrocuted after touching a power cord that was disconnected on Rashi Street in the city.

The Lachish area police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the case and are investigating, among other things, suspicion of negligence in maintaining the cable.

The IEC announced that the circumstances of the case are being investigated.

The Kiryat Malachi municipality announced at the same time that it had warned in the past of infrastructure deficiencies on this street and in the neighborhood in general.

According to the testimony of his friend, the two walked down the street not far from his residence.

His friend said that when they suddenly realized that the cable had been disconnected, the deceased went to move it, although in the friend's opinion he initially thought that it was a lightning cable and not electricity.

But then he got electrocuted and collapsed.

MDA crews who arrived at the scene tried for many minutes to free him from the power cord and then underwent resuscitation operations. They evacuated him in critical condition to the Assuta recovery home in Ashdod, where he was pronounced dead.

"It's an unnecessary death. A disaster that could have been avoided. This is not the first time that the infrastructure here is torn and endangers residents. There have been warnings to the electricity company. From time to time they come and repair, but do not replace the bad infrastructure. The cable and paid with his life "said relatives and his family.

The electricity company responded: "The company shares the family's deep sorrow and is investigating the incident. At this stage, it is not yet the full details that allow for a detailed reference."

The Kiryat Malachi municipality stated that about three weeks ago, the municipality alerted the electricity company about a torn power cable at the same location and asked to regulate the electricity infrastructure in the area.

The mayor, to whom Zohar contacted the electricity company minutes after the disaster, demanded immediate treatment of the cables and infrastructure in the neighborhood.
