The municipal council in Brunnthal passed its budget in an unusual unity.

The overall budget for the current year 2021 has now been unanimously approved by the local council.
Quite unfamiliar after some previous years in which the dispute over the figures was also reflected in the voting relationship.
"The budget situation of the municipality of Brunnthal can be described as orderly", is the most important and most remarkable sentence of the proud 43-page financial paper.
Not a matter of course, given the imbalances in many municipalities.
There are some investments to be made
A detailed look at the number constructs also reveals some problems and high investment costs for Brunnthal.
In the budget for the results, the income of the municipality in the amount of around 14.6 million euros is offset by expenses of a good 16.4 million euros.
The previous year's minus of around 436,000 euros was more than quadrupled with a good 1.8 million euros minus as an expectation for 2021.
In terms of tax revenue alone, which is by far the largest income item, a minus of around 857,000 euros in 2021 is expected to be around 9.95 million euros in the future.
According to calculations by Kämmerer Andreas Haßelbacher, trade tax and income tax portions of the municipality are down by a total of three quarters of a million compared to 2020.
At the same time, expenses rose by well over half a million euros.
Dark forecasts
A further significant decline is also expected in the area municipality in terms of liquid funds.
"A deficit budget is expected for the current year", summarizes Haßelbacher.
And it should stay dark.
“In the coming years” an “increase in yields can be expected”.
From today's perspective, however, “it can be assumed that balanced budgets cannot be presented”.
It is therefore important that the municipality is still debt-free and has high assets, especially in developed and undeveloped land.
You will need these reserves if you look solely at the investments that are targeted and necessary over the multi-year period up to 2024.
Mayor Stefan Kern (CSU) puts the total package of important infrastructural measures in the coming years at around 23 million euros.

Brunnthal is investing around 4.14 million euros by 2022, among other things in the construction of a new well system in the Hofoldinger Forest south of Otterloh.
The only plant in Faistenhaar to date is relieved.
In addition, there is a high need for renovation for the two municipal waterworks.
The pipeline systems are also to be modernized on a large scale.
5.9 million euros for communal living
The municipality is spending even more money on its own properties.
5.9 million euros for communal living plus kindergarten have been announced south of Glonner Strasse.
For this purpose, 2.35 million were placed in a planned, social housing project in the center of Hofolding in the multi-year plan.
"We are investing almost 11 million euros in further project planning in this period," Kern has extrapolated.
Even with the fire brigades, despite the crisis, “clogging instead of spilling” is the order of the day.
Brunnthals fire station is being expanded for around 600,000 euros.
Both units (Hofolding and Brunnthal) will also receive an equally necessary fleet refresh for around 700,000 euros.
A lot of money also flows into the school sector.
Around 1.3 million euros are budgeted for new attic classrooms, an energetic renovation and expansion of the primary school gym including photovoltaics.
At least 1.1 million flow into projects of the special purpose association for secondary schools in the form of cost sharing.
"In view of the still open plans for a secondary school in Höhenkirchen or Hohenbrunn and a grammar school building in Sauerlach, we don't yet have any really reliable figures," said Kern.
On the other hand, the forecasts for road expansion and lighting (around 1.7 million) as well as the renovation and expanded vehicle equipment at the building yard are reliable at 635,000 euros.
Some projects are to be realized through interest-free loans.
