On the stage of the Cultural Palace in the city of As-Suwayda, the performances of the Children's Theater Festival in the governorate, which is being held by the Directorate of Theaters and Music during the midterm holiday, were launched today on the stage of the Cultural Palace.

The audience of the festival watched the play “The Dreams Forest” produced by the National Theater in the governorate, where the artist Wajih Qaisiya, Director of the National Theater in Sweida, told a SANA reporter that he was taken from a children's theatrical text, “The Forest Keeper” by Muhammad Maatouk, adapted by Ammar Abu Saad and directed by Ayman Ghazal as part of a crew of Actors with the help of some young children for the necessities of the text in the roles of children of the characters.

According to Qaisiya, the play “The Forest of Dreams” goes towards performances that simulate the minds of the child and invites him to the issue of trial away from direct and indoctrinating performances, because today the child has become aware and aware of many life issues, stressing the keenness to present an interesting and useful material to the child during the holiday while seeking to accustom our children to going to the theater.

The director of the play, Ayman Ghazal, spoke about the importance of moving towards returning the child to regular reading, the book and the theater in a positive, educational and properly directed manner, explaining that the work drops the story of children and deceives the fox into a larger reality that affects our existence and the Zionist enemy’s endeavor to extract the means of resistance from the peoples.

Ammar Abu Saad, who plays Bingu, the faithful guardian of the forest, noted the need for children's theater shows to carry big messages because this age group absorbs more than we think and they can understand the contents of the work and relate it to their reality.

The artist Maan Dwaier, who played the role of the fox, saw that the bet in the show is to present the child's theater in a more modern way with the humanization of the animal characters and dealing with them, indicating that his character that he played was based on the negative intellectual aspect of the fox’s personality in a way that does not like children with his attempt at the artistic level. With body language, voice, recitation, and playing on singing, it contributes to providing a balanced performance that invites children to try reason and wisdom and challenge the enemy with cooperation

While the two children Marilyn and Yasmine El Harfoush and a number of other children expressed their happiness in following the play and about the judgment and meanings that they derived through the action events and the representation of the characters in the shapes of animals.

The theater performances will continue daily at 1 pm on the stage of the Palace of Culture until the 23rd of this month.
