Wheelchair climber and former "Baoshan King" Li Zhiwei succeeded in climbing the Lion Rock in 2018, today (16th) challenged to climb the 320-meter-high Nina Plaza in Tsuen Wan in a wheelchair.

Nina Plaza at 8 Yeung Uk Road, Tsuen Wan, is similar in height to the Eiffel Tower in France. This time the challenge is the world's first wheelchair person to climb a skyscraper.

The organizer stated that the climb officially started at 10:15 in the morning, and is now climbing the last stage, and is expected to "climb to the top" before 8 pm tonight.

This challenge will raise funds for the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the University of Hong Kong to purchase rehabilitation equipment such as "mechanical feet" to help patients with spinal cord injury and patients with mobility impairments.

At 8:24 in the evening, Li Zhiwei had been suspended in the same position in the air for nearly an hour.

Due to the strong wind at the site, the wind speed reached more than 42 kilometers per hour.

The on-site host stated that Li Zhiwei could not continue climbing due to the knotting of the climbing rope. As the temperature kept dropping, the organizer was worried that Li Zhiwei might lose his temperature. The staff had slowly taken him back to the second section of the 61st floor for fire prevention. Safe location of floors.

She pointed out that even though Lei was disabled by an accident, he still behaves sturdily. "Many people will be depressed, but Qu Qifan has his body."

Another citizen, Mr. Chen, said that he has been paying attention to Lai Zhiwei's experience and admiring his perseverance and unyielding. He came to "support the market" this morning.

The "City Climbing 300+" event originally scheduled to be held last Saturday (9th), due to unsatisfactory weather, due to safety considerations, the conference decided to postpone it.

After discussion and reference to the Observatory’s forecast, the event was changed to today.

At the same time, I also hope to use actions to arouse the public’s respect for people with disabilities and promote social inclusion
