South Korean company Samsung Electronics Industries intends to work in partnership with car manufacturers Audi, BMW, Ford and Genesis to realize the dream of using a smartphone as a key to unlock a car door.
The company said in a statement on its official website that the car door can be opened when accessed using the new digital keys, indicating that the new feature may be available in August.
Company officials confirmed that they are actively working to expand Samsung's automotive partnerships with the aim of providing this feature across a variety of car brands with their models.
Samsung is one of the companies that occupies the leading positions in the production of mobile devices and is constantly working on launching new versions to invade global markets.
