6 p.m. curfew: stores will open earlier

Some distributors have chosen to open their stores very early in the morning - from 6.30 am at Géant, for example - in order to give customers more time.


If the French who are used to doing late shopping, at the end of the day, will suffer from the curfew advanced at 6 p.m., those who prefer to push their cart as soon as possible can do it even earlier:

The Auchan group hypermarkets will open their doors at 7:30 a.m. and supermarkets at 8 a.m.

At Carrefour, all stores will be open from 7:30 a.m.

At Système U, establishments will sometimes open at 7 a.m.

Record at Géant which will open some doors ... from 6.30am.

Large distribution groups will also strengthen their drive offer over longer time slots, adds RTL.

At Carrefour or Auchan, it will be possible to have a delivery from 7:30 a.m. and on Sunday morning.

Ditto for home delivery, which will be possible until 8 p.m. or even 9 p.m. in large cities, for example the Auchan and Casino groups announce.

Francis Palombi, President of the Confederation of French Traders, interviewed by Ouest-France, spoke of the significant drop in turnover of large-scale stores caused by the curfew at 6 p.m.: the losses could be between 15 and 20 %.
