The Russian Embassy in Ankara announced the sinking of a Russian cargo ship in the Black Sea off the Turkish coast.
"The diplomats are working to find out the fate of the crew," the embassy said in a statement carried by TASS.
In turn, the governor of Bartin province in northern Turkey, Senan Guner, told reporters that two of the ship's crew were killed and five others were rescued.
The ship sank in the Encomo area in Bartin Province in the Black Sea, without specifying the causes of the sinking.
