Even if the start date of the vaccination center in Hausham is still open, preparations are already underway in the background to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible.

District

- Since a test run in the normal framework has so far not been possible - as reported - and seniors are vaccinated by mobile teams in care facilities, there is actually no possibility of subjecting the planned processes to an endurance test.

Recently, however, Beate Faus from the District Office and Dr.

Thomas Straßmüller, chairman of the medical district association, for the Agatharied hospital.

There, too, prioritized personnel are on duty who, in accordance with the Corona Vaccination Ordinance of the Federal Ministry of Health, which the Free State of Bavaria has adopted, must be supplied in advance of the general vaccination.

However, these vaccinations were not carried out by the mobile team, but the prioritized hospital staff came to the vaccination center in Hausham and made themselves available there for the first test run in the stationary vaccination center.

Suggestions for improvement incorporated

As District Office Spokeswoman Sophie Stadler reports, this trial run went very well.

However, there were also frictional losses.

It was determined that an additional doctor's consultation room was necessary and more printers were needed for the required filing and printing of the QR codes.

"These two suggestions for improvement have already been incorporated", reports Stadler, "so that we now feel really well prepared for the opening of the vaccination center for the general public."

Scarce vaccine

As reported, the vaccination center in Hausham will only start operating when the care of prioritized people by mobile vaccination teams has largely been completed.

However, planning is difficult, explains Stadler.

The vaccine is scarce, and supplies cannot be calculated.

In the future, however, there should be regular deliveries - always two days a week.

But the scope of these deliveries is unclear.

"That makes planning incredibly difficult."

Whenever there was any vaccine left, it was immediately injected to other people in the prioritized group.

For example, ambulance service employees and the first outpatient nursing staff were occasionally started.

“For example, if 100 cans were delivered but only 80 needed in a care facility, the remaining 20 were not thrown away.

Rather, a quick, unbureaucratic solution was found. ”You don't need to open a vaccination center for only 20 remaining doses, which have to be administered quickly because of their shelf life.
