At 2 p.m. this Sunday, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons revealed their Prada men's wardrobe for next winter in the form of a digital show.
In a dozen-minute video, to a minimalist electro soundtrack by DJ Richie Hawtin, skinny boys dressed in weird, tight-fitting jacquard jumpsuits, suits with high-rise rolled-up steps, large chunky peacoats buttons, derbies with platform soles on the feet, advance in a maze of pieces lined with pink, red, purple, sea green faux fur, a “non-space” imagined by Rem Koolhaas and AMO.
All interspersed with jerky shots of the same dancing boys, almost in a trance.
This abstract and immersive staging reinforces the impression of diving into the ultra-prolific mind of these two fashion geniuses now united under the Prada label.
