The head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization, Brigadier General Ghulam Reza Jalali, confirmed that the country's defense capabilities in the missile and drones field have been achieved and strengthened despite the unjust US embargo.
Jalali said in a statement today that “these capabilities are among the core issues of Iran,” noting that “in order to defend our people against the administration of the outgoing US President Donald Trump, we do not wait for the green light from European capitals to strengthen our defense capabilities.”
Jalali added that the experience of Trump's presence in the US presidency demonstrated to us the urgent and vital need to possess defensive capabilities that cannot be negotiated with the enemy.
The United States continues to impose embargoes and coercive economic measures on Iranian personalities and entities as part of its hostile policies against independent states.
