These positions do not necessarily require employees to have a traditional university degree, but they have considerable requirements for their technical and soft skills.

Students of the Jockey Club Diversified Pathway Program "CLAP-TECH Pathway" (CLAP-TECH Pathway) have been enlightened by mentors in the technology industry at the secondary level, and can learn the skills required by the industry through new courses and activities, and deploy them quickly. Donated by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charitable Trust Fund, CLAP-TECH Pathway is a breakthrough course that combines mainstream topics and workplace learning.

Relying on the suggestions and participation of industry partners, the entire course is tailored to the needs of the front line of the workplace. Students can not only learn information and communication technology related knowledge, but also have the opportunity to participate in special research, corporate visits, exchange seminars, mentorship programs and other activities , To train workplace soft power such as analytical thinking, communication and collaboration, and leadership skills.

Students will be matched with industry mentors from major companies starting from Secondary Four; corporate partners of CLAP-TECH Pathway include IBM, Microsoft Hong Kong, Hong Kong and China Gas, UBS, Hong Kong Institute of Applied Science and Technology (ASTRI), and Equinix Hong Kong and other industry giants.

If students successfully complete the "Information Technology Essentials" applied learning courses from Form 4 to Form 6 and meet the required requirements in the HKDSE Examination, they will choose to take the two-year higher diploma course which is being prepared by the Hong Kong Baptist University. Choose artificial intelligence and big data or artificial intelligence and network security as major projects, and participate in the corporate internship program through advanced diploma courses to prepare step by step for becoming a new force in the information technology industry.

In addition to getting priority interview opportunities, students who have reached the age of 16 can also join the Hong Kong Computer Society and build a network with industry professionals. These are rare opportunities for students.

CLAP-TECH Pathway students actively participate in the IBM Chatbot course and invest in learning.

CLAP-TECH Pathway currently has 26 industry mentors first to join. The mentors will accompany the students to grow in the past few years and achieve the goals set so that they can make wise decisions for their own future.
