Businessman Amir Bramley, who was convicted in October of stealing millions of shekels, is suspected of trying to blackmail Judge Khaled Kaboub's son - who is due to sentence him - in order to influence his trial - the publication was allowed today (Sunday).

Bramley was detained until the end of the proceedings, after a suspicion arose in August that he had tried to flee Israel, but was also arrested as part of the new investigation.

His defense attorneys are expected to seek to disqualify Judge Kabov from sentencing him.

Bramley was convicted of stealing more than NIS 300 million from investors in the Kela Fund and the Rubicon Group, as well as offenses of fraud, forgery, money laundering and securities offenses.

According to the ruling of Judge Kabov of the Bel Aviv District Court, Bramley raised money from investors through false representations, and among other things promised high returns without risk.

Next, Bramley used the funds to invest them in companies he owned and for his own personal needs.

When those companies ran into difficulties, Bramley paid investors with new investors' money.

Judge Kabov ruled that "the presentations given to the investors, along with the other liabilities of the Kela and Kela fund are safe - through Bramley - and following his actions - were versions that are not true."

It was further stated that "Bramley led and led a complex and sophisticated fundraising system, which included designing precise and planned marketing messages in order to appeal to different populations and in order to ensure that the funds are invested in a sling fund, without knowing what the real investment purpose is. It will not be discovered, Bramley has instituted a long list of measures. "

The new affair was released today at the request of Calcalist and TheMarker.

According to the suspicion, Bramley met a few years ago with Adv. Walid Kabov, the son of the judge who discussed his case, to create a presentation of business relations between them. At the meeting, an attempt was made to record Kabov, who left the place. D. Kabov, ostensibly to disqualify his father from sentencing him.

Kabov Jr. complained to the police, and Bramley was arrested and questioned.

Attorneys Guy Ein Zvi and Michal Urakbi, who represent Bramley on behalf of the Public Defender's Office, stated: "Amir vehemently denies that he blackmailed or committed any other offense against Adv. Kabov. According to Amir, he has a long business relationship with Adv. Kabov. "It was attended by other people involved, whose identities are known to the police. In the circumstances of the filing of the complaint by Adv. Kabov, in combination with other circumstances, Amir believes that the hearing of the continuation of the criminal case against him should be transferred to another court."

Attorney Walid Kabov declined to comment.
