All the federations making up the CFCM approved Sunday, January 17 the "
charter of principles
" of Islam in France which notably reaffirms "
the principle of gender equality
" and the "
compatibility
" of the Muslim faith with the Republic, the institution announced in a press release.

After several weeks of internal crisis, the three leaders of the Muslim Worship Council had reached an agreement on Saturday on this text demanded by the executive, which still had to be approved by the nine federations making up the CFCM.
Emmanuel Macron receives the leaders of the CFCM on Monday, announced the Élysée.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin will also be present at this meeting scheduled for noon at the Elysee Palace, when the bill on separatism arrives in the Assembly.
