General practitioner in the 18th arrondissement, Dr Agnès Giannotti has been practicing in the Goutte d'Or district for thirty years.
She explains how she organized herself with her colleagues for the Covid vaccination.
LE FIGARO.
- Why can't GPs vaccinate in their practice?
Dr Agnès GIANNOTTI.
- The government does not want to, they have centralized everything.
Two thirds of the vaccination centers are hospitals.
And when everything is centralized, it gets stuck.
I understand that there are logistical constraints, but we could have organized ourselves in another way, because the vaccine can be kept for five days in the fridge.
It is said everywhere that the hospital is saturated and we ask it to give vaccines, the world is upside down!
Let's stop doing it without general practitioners, who know the population, the patients, the territory.
Let us lean on them, instead of going around them all the time.
Trust general practitioners, don't act as if we don't exist!
