The General Organization for Textile Industries management and representatives of the Federation of Chambers of Industry have reached an agreed mechanism for pricing the cotton yarn produced by the corporation’s companies and securing the needs of the private sector establishments of this yarn.
The Director General of the General Organization for Textile Industries, Eng. Harith Makhlouf, said in a statement to the representative of SANA that the mechanism was agreed upon after the formation of committees for the physical inspection of the establishments whose production operations require securing yarn, indicating that these committees have identified the need for these establishments of yarn in a way that helps in distributing the available quantities to meet The public and private sectors need the largest possible percentage.
And Eng. Makhlouf stated that the meeting agreed on pricing the cotton yarn according to main criteria that include the cost of the product, local prices and international prices, so that the yarn prices approved by the institution are appropriate and appropriate and help to encourage the national industry and limit the industrialists ’tendency to import.
Eng. Makhlouf stated that as a result of the meeting, the Corporation issued a new list of the prices of yarn produced by its affiliated yarn and yarn companies.
