The activities of the first Childhood Theater Festival under the title “Creations and Dreams” were launched on the Cultural Center Theater in the Aziziyah neighborhood in Aleppo city today.

The activities of the first day of the festival included honoring a number of theater directors and writers who had a creative impact in the child's theater, in addition to a presentation entitled The Kingdom of Children.

The Director of Culture in Aleppo, Jaber Al-Sajour, explained that the preparation for the festival took place 3 months ago, during which children were trained spontaneously and naturally, and educational theater sessions were organized for them to introduce them to the sciences of theater, cinema and scenography, in addition to theatrical writing and directing, because the father of arts is one of the most important platforms that raise the intellectual and cultural taste of society in general.

Engineer Mustafa Agha, director and author of the show “Goodbye Corona”, which provides healthy concepts about confronting the Coronavirus, stressed the importance of children performing theatrical acts that contribute to breaking the barrier between the child and the recipient and developing their capabilities.

Ahed Bridi from the Life Skills team stated that the aim of these theatrical works is to familiarize children with breaking the barrier of fear of confronting the audience, developing their talents and creative ideas, in addition to explaining the concept of theater to them and strengthening their formal language through dialogue while they present performances.
