A woman in her seventh month of pregnancy, 35 years old with no background illnesses, was hospitalized tonight (Monday) in critical condition after being infected with corona.
The mother, in the 31st week of her pregnancy, was burned from Laniado Hospital to Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva, after her condition deteriorated, which is defined as critical and unstable.
This is the woman's seventh pregnancy.
Due to her condition, the hospital decided to feminize her and give birth to her immediately with a caesarean section, which ended successfully.
The infant, whose condition is defined as stable, was resuscitated and transferred to preterm infants.
Prof. Arnon Wiesnitzer, director of the Women's Hospital, linked the case to the third wave of the disease.
"This is a more violent and severe wave than its predecessors that also affects the population of young pregnant women," he said.
Dr. Ilya Kagan, director of the Corona Intensive Care Unit at the hospital, explained that the mother "is in real danger of death, and we are fighting for her life."
