Kouao Jacob Danho, the 38-year-old Ivorian who on 22 June 2019, in Cremona, stabbed his daughter Gloria, just two years old, was sentenced to life in prison.

The sentence, in the Court of Assizes, accepted the request of the prosecutor, Vitina Pinto.

Little Gloria was killed in her father's apartment in via Massarotti: a revenge crime, committed by Danho to make his ex-partner, Isabelle, pay for the choice to leave him.

The charge was of voluntary murder aggravated by premeditation, futile motives and ancestry, but the Court of Assizes did not recognize the premeditation.

"It is a fair sentence, which recognizes the real development of the facts and the accused's responsibility for a heinous crime. We will read the motivation to understand why they excluded premeditation", commented mother Isabelle's lawyer, as soon as the sentence was read . "Although he was sentenced to life imprisonment - he added -, the sentence does not bring her little girl back to mother Isabelle". The mother, the civil party, was awarded an immediately executable provisional amount of one hundred thousand euros.
