A six-year-old boy was hit by a clearing vehicle in Geretsried and seriously injured.
The parents had to watch everything.
A serious accident occurred on Sunday around 5.15 p.m. in Geretsried.
A 53-year-old Geretsrieder was driving a small off-road vehicle with a clearing blade on the Sudetenstrasse into town.
At number 1, a six-year-old boy suddenly ran between the parked cars from the left across the street and directly in front of the Geretsrieder's vehicle.
The 53-year-old recognized the situation and was able to initiate braking.
Due to the slippery snow, his vehicle did not come to a stop in time.
The six-year-old was hit head-on by the raised blade.
It flew over the blade and remained on the road.
According to the police, the boy was approachable and received first aid from the emergency doctor.
The six-year-old had suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to the Harlaching Clinic by the ambulance service.
The boy's parents were separated on both sides of the street at the time of the accident and had to watch everything, the police report.
"In view of the overall circumstances," said a spokesman, "the boy got off lightly despite serious injuries."
