It's been seven years since Janine Bach - at that time still under her maiden name Hecht - took part in the TV show "The Voice of Germany". The 30-year-old is now a mother of two and is no longer on the big stages. But music continues to play an important role in her life.

It's been seven years since Janine Bach - at that time still under her maiden name Hecht - took part in the TV show "The Voice of Germany".

The 30-year-old is now a mother of two and is no longer on the big stages.

But music continues to play an important role in her life.

Erding

- Janine Bach is enjoying spending time with her family.

Son Noah is about to celebrate his fourth birthday, daughter Malin is just six months old.

Erdinger is employed by the thermal baths, but is currently on parental leave.

She also uses this to continue to devote herself to her independence.

Because the 30-year-old is actually a trained photographer, media designer and has been singing since she was a teenager.

With these three passions, she started her own business, designed websites, company logos or menus - and took photos again.

“After ten years, I've rediscovered the craft for myself,” says Bach.

Janine Bach: Lots of baby and family photos

Last year she took a lot of family and baby photos.

“A lot of people have invested in nice souvenir photos, maybe because they didn't fly on vacation,” she suspects.

In any case, it is corona-compliant: “As a photographer, you have to keep your distance, and I mainly take pictures outdoors.” Erdinger has set up a mini studio at home only for newborn photos, i.e. pictures shortly after the birth.

Especially for weddings, she offers a complete package with photography, stationery and singing.

And weddings are a big topic right now - some would make up for their unusual wedding in 2021, while others would postpone the celebration to 2022.

Bach said she had a lot of inquiries and verbal bookings.

“But who knows how it will all develop.” That is why there are currently a number of invitations, menu and place cards slumbering on her PC that cannot yet be printed because no date is certain due to Corona.

The invitation to her own wedding with Benno Bach (34) in May 2016 was the first that she designed herself.

And the starting shot for your business.

There were more and more inquiries, initially only for invitations, then menu and place cards, seating plans and thanks were added, and finally the singing.

Memories of "The Voice of Germany"

“When I'm at weddings, people sometimes look at me like they know me,” she says with a laugh.

“And when I swap the camera for the microphone, the penny usually falls.

It's nice that people still remember me. ”After all, Bach sang in“ The Voice of Germany ”in front of an audience of millions on TV in the fall of 2013.

“I don't really like to watch the recordings,” she admits today.

“But this chapter belongs to me too.” Looking at it from a distance, she could say: “You get a little burned out in the industry.

But it was a stark, adventurous experience.

Not always positive, but it has helped me - just the vocal coaching and the experience that this business is not for me.

I have different priorities and know that I don't want to do this full-time. ”But she still has contact with a lot of people from back then and, despite everything, it is nice if she is asked about it.

Janine Bach: "Back on the stage"

Will Janine Bach be back on stage in the future?

Most recently she was on the road with the band “Heute Wir”, which includes Benno Bach, Steve Zimmermann and Felix Lippeberger.

“Unfortunately that is currently on hold,” says Bach.

Guitarist Zimmermann has started a solo project (we reported), bassist Lip Berger is also on baby break.

“But when the little ones are old enough that a babysitter can take care of the band rehearsal, we'll start again,” promises Bach.

After all, the band was a "heart project" and they want to continue writing, composing "and back on stage" in the future.

Speaking of the stage: Another hobby of the 30-year-olds is the theater.

In 2017 she was Queen of Hearts for “Alice im Anderland” for the Junge Theater, an offshoot of the Altenerding folk play group, and directed with Benjamin Stang and Géraldine Chalaud.

Even if this project was not pursued, Bach remained loyal to the theater: in 2019 she played in the folk playgroup's comedy “Ladies Night”.
