- This amendment was ruled inadmissible because unconstitutional by the special committee, but I philosophically agree with Aurore Bergé and Jean-Baptiste Moreau, who carry these amendments.
I don't understand how we can make a 5-year-old girl wear the veil.
But there is a real legal question: if we ban the veil for little girls, do we ban all wearing of religious symbols?
And a real political question: there are 1,700 amendments, all of which are serious, interesting, which we do not talk about.
The subject of the veil is a smokescreen in front of all the others.
