Four Nigerien soldiers were killed on Monday and eight others seriously injured in the explosion of an artisanal mine in the south-eastern part of the country near Nigeria where the jihadist group Boko Haram is rife, the Defense Ministry said Monday evening.

"pursuit"
Monday after the attack on Sunday of a military camp in Chétima Wangou (south-east, in the Diffa region), elements of the Nigerien army "came across an improvised explosive device", the ministry said in a statement, specifying that
"the balance sheet on the friend's side is unfortunately four dead and eight seriously injured".
