Spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations Stephane Dujarric reiterated his concern about the consequences of the United States ’decision to designate the Yemeni“ Ansar Allah ”movement a“ terrorist organization ”and its repercussions on the living and humanitarian conditions in Yemen.
"The United Nations is still deeply concerned about the United States' designation of Ansar Allah as a terrorist organization," Sputnik news agency quoted Dujarric as saying in a press conference, expecting major disturbances in the largest aid operation in the world at the time when famine begins spreading in Yemen.
A spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations called for protecting commercial imports to Yemen and for them to continue flowing through all ports in the country.
Last Thursday, United Nations officials called during a meeting at the UN Security Council for the United States to cancel its decision against Ansar Allah, warning that it would impede peace efforts in Yemen.
