In the last day, Prime Minister Netanyahu is pushing to raise at a cabinet meeting that will convene at noon (Tuesday) - and which is supposed to deal with Corona - a decision on extensive training of outposts in the West Bank.
Netanyahu is interested in passing the resolution today, before the inauguration of Joe Biden as President of the United States.
Two hours before the convening of the cabinet meeting, Netanyahu is still pressing to put the draft resolution to a vote.
Sources close to the prime minister claim that Defense Minister Bnei Gantz gave his consent to the move yesterday after he had already publicly stated that he opposed it.
However, officials in the Defense Minister's office denied the allegations, saying that Ganz was indeed opposed and that the resolution would not be put to a vote today.
At this stage there is still no agreement that the issue will come up in a meeting in two hours.
At this stage there is no agreement between the parties, and talks are still underway on raising the issue for a vote.

The Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have expressed opposition to the proposed resolution for both political and legal reasons.
Justice Ministry officials say that due to the fact that this is a transitional government there is no justification for passing such a dramatic decision, and warned of the consequences of such a move on the decision regarding the investigation against Israel in the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

Foreign Ministry officials also oppose the move, claiming that such a hasty move the day before Joe Biden was sworn in as president would be seen as an Israeli kidnapping and defiance of the new president.
However, so far Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has not objected to the move.
Sources involved in the matter say that Mandelblit is under tremendous pressure from the Netanyahu bureau to approve the move, even though this decision does not stand any legal test.
According to the proposed resolution that Netanyahu tried to promote, five illegal outposts in the West Bank - Asael, Abigail, Avnat, Kedem Arava and Dragot Cliffs - would be trained and declared new settlements.
Another part of the draft resolution instructs the Civil Administration to regulate all dozens of other outposts in the near future without the need for another government decision on their matter.
