An Asian elephant, Dumba, 43, was found alone on January 1, locked inside a circus truck, in an isolated corner of the Gard countryside.
Dumba was hidden by her trainer to escape Spanish justice.
She suffered from numerous injuries,

Investigators alerted by a sympathizer of the animal defense association One Voice, hurried on the spot and noted the condition of the animal. The members of One Voice quickly recognized the animal. It is about a captive elephant of a Spanish circus, which was torn from its family. Many cases of mistreatment have been noted against the beast.
