Reports in Iraq: Killed and wounded in US attack near Baghdad
According to media in the Arab world, the United States has attacked targets in the Jourf a-Sakhar area south of the capital using UAVs.
Some agencies reported that the bombings hit Iraqi army positions and killed nine soldiers, and other agencies reported that they were aimed at a Hezbollah force.

Earlier this month, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif accused Israel of trying to start a war by planning an offensive against US forces in Iraq.
"We have received intelligence from Iraq that Israeli agents are planning attacks against American targets to give the outgoing Trump administration a false cause for war."
In a statement written by the Iranian minister on Twitter, following reports that the United States would act against Iran following the launch of rockets at the US embassy in Baghdad, he addressed Trump, adding: "Beware of the trap.
In recent months, tensions between Iran and the United States have intensified.
This follows the attack on the US embassy and while Iran fears a US attack against them towards the end of Trump's term.
Also, in recent weeks, U.S. military B-52 bombers have been flown several times in Middle Eastern skies as a deterrent message to Iran.
