76.2% of teaching staff in Israel have been vaccinated against Corona, according to a survey published today (Tuesday) by the Teachers' Union.
The Histadrut survey conducted 15,514 employees in the education system.
The survey showed that 18.6% of respondents were not vaccinated, and about 5.2% fell ill in Corona.
The Histadrut also noted that "out of 2,879 teaching staff who have not yet been vaccinated, it was found that about 30.3% do not want to be vaccinated, 3 7.3% are interested in receiving the vaccine, and 32.4% are still undecided."
The secretary general of the Teachers' Union, Yaffa Ben-David, said that "the high response is proof that our demand to allow teaching staff to be vaccinated was justified, and I hope that when we return to routine it will be safer for teaching staff and students."
