Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Mansour Gholami, and Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Dr. Shafiq Dayoub discussed today ways to strengthen and advance bilateral cooperation in the scientific, technical and technological fields and scientific research.
During the meeting, Minister Gholami stressed the need to develop scientific and research cooperation with Syria in the field of modern technologies and the transfer of Iranian experiences in the field of technology, indicating that his country occupies advanced positions in many fields such as nanotechnology and biotechnology and is among the top ten countries that excel in these two fields.
In turn, Ambassador Diop stressed during the meeting today that the scientific successes and achievements Iran has achieved is a model and an example through which other countries can achieve great scientific successes, indicating that Iranian technology can be used, transferred and resettled in Syria.
Diop explained that the strengthening of scientific cooperation and the exchange of experiences is reflected in the various sectors and areas of production and social and economic development, especially that the two countries are subjected to siege and unfair coercive measures in various scientific, medical and technology fields, pointing to the importance of increasing scholarships for students from both countries.
