When they want to get off the mad train of progressivism, they cannot just sound the alarm bells like a simple conservative.
So, they invent a false equivalence, a false mirror opposition, two extremisms that they also reject, between which they find an average, reasonable and moderate path.
Thus, the Republicans of the left, who can no longer bear to rub shoulders with indigenous people and other Islamo-leftists, claim to be caught between two identities, the one who defends the French nation and the one who wants to destroy it.
And since they remain on the left, they do not hesitate to lecture those - the wicked conservatives or reactionaries - who only had the merit and the courage to be clairvoyant long before them.
It is as if the Communist and Socialist resistance fighters of 1942 had lectured (republican, of course) to the monarchist activists of Action Française
