A new study conducted by researchers at the University of Cambridge, Britain, showed that talking with others closely can transmit the emerging corona virus, not just coughing.
The study published by the British Guardian newspaper concluded that the remaining aerosols on a viral mass after speaking are much more than those present after one cough, so that this is sufficient to cause corona infection, especially if the conversation is within small spaces and without ventilation.
The study revealed that large drops can fall on the ground and carry the virus for short distances, while small drops known as "aerosols", which are more like atmospheric dust, can carry the virus over distances of more than two meters within a few seconds.
Professor Pedro Magalhaes de Oliveira, an expert in fluid mechanics at the University of Cambridge and a co-author of the study, said: “We need face masks, a safe distance, and good ventilation so that these particles do not accumulate in an interior space and be removed safely.”
