Awareness activities to prevent corona virus within the activities of the Spring of Childhood Festival in Homs

Cultural and entertainment events and activities on ways to prevent infection with the Coronavirus, included in the Spring of Childhood Festival, whose activities are hosted by the Children and Young People section of the Homs Culture Directorate.

The activities attended by a group of children and adolescents included a reading session in cooperation with the Friends of the Book Forum and the Spring Publishing House, and an entertainment activity in cooperation with the Lingua Phone Center that included songs, reading stories and games for children in English.

Najah Hanna, one of the founders of the Friends of the Book Forum in Homs, stated in a statement to SANA that Usama's magazines and stories were distributed to children after they were divided according to their age group, and each group chose a story to read, discuss and reformulate it with new ideas and style after understanding the significance of it.

Ibrahim Al-Hayek, a member of the Al-Yafa'en team, indicated that some awareness and prevention guidelines for Corona disease and warnings against disregarding preventive measures have been prepared in the form of a game for the largest number of children to participate in and benefit from.

In turn, Al-Yafeh Abdul Latif Al-Hassan, one of the team members, ran a competition with the participation of children that included questions and answers and illustrations on healthy habits and an emphasis on personal hygiene.
