The United Kingdom recorded 1,820 more deaths of people who tested positive for the new coronavirus for 28 days on Wednesday, January 20, a new record since the start of the pandemic.

These figures from the Department of Health bring the total death toll from the pandemic in the United Kingdom to 93,290, the heaviest in Europe.
The number of identified cases increased in 24 hours to 38,905, confirming the decline in recent days, a total of more than 3.5 million cases.
