After announcing tens of billions of euros to deal with the coronavirus crisis since last March, the time to take stock of the money actually spent to date has come for the government.
The Bercy teams see a clearer picture of the amounts disbursed in 2020 by the State, which therefore does not include social administrations and local communities.
And the executive saw the light ...
In an attempt to save the French economy in the face of the pandemic, the State has effectively disbursed 44.1 billion euros as of December 31, 2020, including 41.8 billion to finance emergency measures such as the solidarity fund, the partial activity - supplied to the tune of a third by Unedic - out of nearly 70 billion budgeted.
In the end, 28.8 billion were not disbursed and are therefore carried over to 2021.
