Six of the seven public hospitals will move from today (Wednesday) to work in a small team and will work in an emergency format, after the Ministry of Finance blew up the negotiations with the hospital directors, they claim.

Hospital administrators have set up a protest tent in front of the Ministry of Finance in Jerusalem, where they are staying until a long-term solution to their budget problem is found.

After internal consultations, the directors of the public hospitals decided to stay in the protest tent until a signed agreement was reached with the Ministry of Finance.

The management of Hadassah Hospital stated that they had decided not to join the sanctions of the other public hospitals.

"In Israel, there are more than 10,000 verified per day, and we understand that the proportion of the most difficult patients among them will reach our treatment," they said.

"At the same time, without sanctions and strikes, the severe shortage of medicines and perishable equipment that we can not supplement due to lack of cash flow, and inability to pay suppliers is already severely hurting Corona patients and preventing us from treating other patients in need of urgent care."

In the past year, the corona crisis has prompted hospitals to convert All activities in favor of treating Corona patients so that hospital deficits have become deeper.

The hospital directors' struggle headquarters said that "finance representatives refuse to discuss with us a permanent arrangement for hospital budgeting, and send us to solicit donations to fund hospital operations, in the midst of the most serious medical crisis in the country."

"We call on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Israel Katz to intervene immediately in the crisis, before the complete collapse of public hospitals," the struggle headquarters added.
