The brand under the watch chain Swatch has been chased for rent several times earlier. The branch of Longines and Tissot under the brand at Star House in Tsim Sha Tsui has been involved in arrears in rent and miscellaneous fees since September last year.
The owner filed two cases with the High Court yesterday (19th), and a total of more than 13 million yuan was recovered and the shop was recovered.
The plaintiff is CRE Property (Star House) Limited, and the defendant is The Swatch Group (Hong Kong) Limited.
Monthly rent for two shops is 2.78 million yuan
The plaintiff filed a complaint that he had signed a lease with the defendant earlier and leased shops G01A and 101A of Starlight to the defendant at a monthly rent of 2.1 million yuan.
As for shop G02, it was leased to the defendant at a monthly rent of 680,000 yuan.
The defendant had to pay management fees and so on.
According to the data, Shop G01A and 101A are Longines boutiques; Shop G02 is the flagship store of Tissot.
Part of the rent arrears since September last year
However, the defendant has defaulted on part of the rent since September last year.
As for shops G01A and 101A, the defendant has so far arreared about 10.2 million yuan in rent and management fees, while the G02 shop involved about 3.31 million yuan.
The plaintiff failed to recover from the defendant, so he filed a claim for the arrears and related interest, and requested to retrieve the shop.
