The dramatic character and narrative language that depicts the repercussions of the war on Syria resides in detail and in the folds of the novel, Years of Labor, by Rana Al Asali, who gave the heroism of her novel to female characters who sought to challenge their reality and expose them to different destinies for that.

The novel for which Al-Asali deserved the golden prize in the international competition for the year 2020 held by the Arab Awards Group in London along with seven Syrian personalities in poetry, plastic art and the novel that shines according to its authorship over what we have been through in the last ten years because it believes that literature has an important message in terms of awareness and solution Problems and documentation in addition to his role in entertainment and education.

Al-Asali said in a statement to SANA that writing is an art of expressing and revealing the components of the soul, as it achieves comfort and pleasure in life by reaching people and addressing important points, positive or negative, in life.

Al-Asali asserts that the Syrian writer has succeeded in conveying the pain and suffering of Syrians due to the war in various ways, through drama, novels, poetry and art, considering that what was written in wartime will have an important and helpful role in building the personality of future generations.

Regarding feminist literature, Al-Asali found that women presented a new view that expresses their suffering and feelings to come out of the mold of false habits and inherited cultures in a wrong way and tell society that they can move strongly despite their femininity relying on themselves to achieve themselves, pointing out that through their writings they seek to educate women and encourage them to build a personality Intact and durable.

It is noteworthy that the writer, Rana Al-Asali, born in Aleppo, has a kindergarten license, has participated in many festivals and poetry evenings, and has many publications, including “On the lips of joy - haunted by you - years of labor - twins - on the sound of a pulse” and won several awards locally and in the Arab world.
