The Yesh Atid faction will tomorrow (Thursday) send 25 signatures of Knesset members to Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin demanding that the Knesset convene a special recess meeting to discuss the "failure of the corona tests at Ben Gurion Airport."
MK Boaz Toporovsky of Yesh Atid, who initiated the move, said that "the reality in which the failed government consciously entered the corona and its many mutations into Israel through Ben Gurion Airport, and caused the deaths of thousands of Israelis, is a national failure."
According to MK Toporovsky, "For a whole year, it did not occur to any of the decision-makers to change their ways, to act as other 'non-EU countries' did, and to check all those entering Israel's gates, without exception.
On the contrary, the responsibility for home isolation was placed on the citizens, through an action that did not prove itself and cost human lives. "
Toporovsky added in his address to the Speaker of the Knesset that "we will not allow a situation in which Netanyahu, Regev and Edelstein will continue to welcome the corona and the various mutations and increase the danger to the lives of the citizens of the State of Israel."
