A young man from Be'er Sheva and his partner were attacked last night (Thursday) in the parking lot of Turner Stadium in the city.

Aviv Agam, a discharged soldier, said that three masked men threatened them with knives and machetes, stripped him and stole his vehicle.

"Around 01:00, three masked men arrived armed with knives, one of whom threatened to stab me," Agam repeated in a conversation with Walla!

NEWS.

"They grabbed my girlfriend and took her out of the car, while pulling her by the hair. They threatened me with a knife to get me out of the car. I begged him 'Do not stab me and do not harm my girlfriend', for me property value is not on a par with life value."

After managing to take control of the vehicle, the three fled the scene.

Agam published a post in a Facebook group of Be'er Sheva residents, following which he revealed that he is not the only victim of similar cases in the city.

He said, "If I had resisted I would have been stabbed. I think it should be put to an end, the authorities should enforce. As a resident who has lived in Be'er Sheva for 22 years, I can unequivocally testify that we suffer from a large number of thefts, burglaries and acts of violence very frequently."

Following the publication of the case, today Mayor Rubik Danilovich addressed Minister of Internal Security Amir Ohana with a request to take steps to eradicate crime in Be'er Sheva.

Danilovich wrote to Ohana that "we are witnessing crossing lines and brutal rampage in cases of violence and crime among minorities, which intimidate the residents of Beer Sheva and the Negev. As mayor, I can not accept such a serious phenomenon, which harms the personal security of metropolitan residents. To hold an urgent working meeting on the subject with us and the security personnel, so that the necessary steps can be taken, firmly and with full determination. "

However, Danilovich clarified that "these gangs of unrestrained thugs are staining an entire public of the Bedouin population in the Negev region, the vast majority of whom live alongside us in full partnership in a variety of areas of life.

Police said a complaint was received and an investigation was opened.
