In its latest daily report, the Ministry of Health reported 395 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths listed to 50,187, for 1,972,345 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus since the detection of the first case on March 6.

The increase in contamination recorded since the holidays and the end-of-year holidays has led the authorities to impose travel restrictions in a dozen departments, where the occupancy rate of intensive care units (ICU) exceeds 70% .
