The meeting of the Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, with the members of the People's Assembly from Lattakia Governorate focused on the necessity of concerted efforts to improve the service and developmental realities in the governorate and support the productive sectors in it according to the available capabilities, which is directly reflected in improving the service reality for citizens.

The proposals dealt with solving the problem of drinking water in the governorate, increasing its allocations from oil derivatives, securing the needs of rural schools for teachers, completing the completion of the Jableh Hospital, supporting the Health Directorate and the medical staff in dealing with the Corona epidemic, completing organizational plans, adopting unified standards for classifying fuel stations in the countryside and in the city, and accelerating the construction of agricultural roads in the regions. Affected by fires, re-granting new licenses for tobacco cultivation, in addition to supporting the internal transport sector in the governorate with additional buses and transporting the asphalt mountain on the highway in the Al-Pine area to another place in order to preserve environmental safety.

Eng. Arnous explained the importance of joint coordination between the government team and members of the People’s Assembly to illuminate the service reality in the governorates and to identify existing problems and find appropriate solutions to them, pointing to the importance of activating the role of administrative units in communicating closely with citizens and demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit in terms of improving the services provided to them.

In response to the members ’interventions, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Education will be tasked with conducting a description of the teaching reality in the governorate’s countryside in order to take appropriate measures to redistribute teachers according to the needs of each region in addition to working to improve the reality of providing drinking water through an integrated plan that includes the completion of Project 16 October and completion of the northern line, digging wells in villages, especially mountainous ones, and establishing water dams and ground reservoirs to benefit from rain water.
