Registering for the corona vaccination is complicated and overwhelming for many seniors.
The local newspaper has summarized what those willing to vaccinate now need to know.

- When the Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn announced at the end of last year that mass vaccinations could be carried out at the beginning of the new year, many district citizens finally saw light on the corona horizon again.
But it is not that simple, especially the registration for vaccination has its pitfalls.
E-mail address
There are two ways to register for a vaccination: either via the telephone number 116 117, or via the internet portal impfzentren.bayern.
For the latter, however, an e-mail address is required, which poses challenges for many married couples who share an e-mail address.
In this case, pharmacist Maximilian Lernbecher recommends: “Simply register a spouse with this address.
If he is then vaccinated, the other partner can use the address for his registration. "
Vaccination sequence
Seniors who are not familiar with computer technology and are trying to get a vaccination appointment via the often overloaded telephone number 116 117 do not have to worry that a younger person who registers online via the vaccination portal will get it faster.
Appointments are strictly based on age.
The rule is: Seniors come first!
Forms to bring
The District Office's website states that those willing to be vaccinated should bring an anamnesis and a declaration of consent with them to the vaccination center.
These forms were sent to the over 80-year-olds by post, and according to District Administrator Stefan Löwl they will also be sent to the over 70-year-olds by post.
All other citizens can download the forms from the Internet.
Important: Those willing to vaccinate can fill out the anamnesis form at home (possibly in consultation with their family doctor) or at the vaccination center.
Anyone who has not received the forms or cannot download them online can easily get them on site.
At the moment, when the vaccination centers are not running at full capacity anyway, the staff in the vaccination centers have enough time to hand over the forms to those willing to be vaccinated on a clipboard in the waiting room of the vaccination center, where they can be filled out in peace.
Assistance
Apotheker Lernbecher emphasizes that he and his colleagues are happy to help with online registration.
The only thing he can't and shouldn't worry about is the email address - for data protection reasons, he explains.
Especially with regard to the medical questions in advance of the vaccination, according to Lernbecher, the family doctors would help.
Appointments
Anyone who has registered for the vaccination will be contacted automatically by email and / or SMS as soon as it is their turn.
It is therefore not necessary to contact the vaccination center again!
patience
An important trait these days is patience.
But timing can also be decisive: the online platform in particular tends to be overloaded at peak times, so it is advisable to try your luck in the early morning or late evening.
Soon decentralized vaccination offers in the district
The big goal in the Dachau district is to have all those willing to vaccinate by September 30th.
"Then people can go deeply relaxed into the autumn", emphasizes the district pharmacist spokesman Maximilian Lernbecher.
But for this the vaccinations must finally pick up speed - and that is exactly what District Administrator Stefan Löwl promises.
In a letter to the over 80-year-olds, which will be sent in the coming days and the draft of which has been submitted to the local newspaper, it says that "vaccination at home with the vaccines currently available is not (yet) possible", but: “We work together with the resident doctors on decentralized offers in the district communities.” At the same time, Löwl asks for your understanding: the district has simply not been able to influence many of the latest developments.
