The Russian Direct Investments Fund announced today that Hungary is the first country in the European Union to register (Sputnik V) vaccine to treat the Corona virus on its soil.
"The Russian Direct Investments Fund announces the registration of the (Sputnik V) vaccine against Corona by the Hungarian National Institute of Pharmacology and Nutrition," a statement issued by the fund quoted by Sputnik said.
The vaccine was registered in Hungary as part of an emergency use license based on data from clinical trials of (Sputnik V) in Russia and a comprehensive evaluation of the drug by experts in Hungary.
It is noteworthy that the (Sputnik V) vaccine is the first drug registered in the world to prevent Covid 19 disease and was developed at the Russian Gamalia Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology Research in cooperation with the Russian Investment Fund.
