Shrouded in his parka, huge mittens in his hands, protected by his surgical mask, Bernie Sanders did not go unnoticed at the investiture ceremony of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Wednesday in Washington.
In the midst of the guests who had put on their 31 to attend the swearing-in, the simple, warm and green outfit of the senator from Vermont was quick to make social networks smile.
While most of the men were dressed in well-cut winter coats, the 79-year-old ex-Democratic nomination contestant stood out with his heavy down jacket and green gloves knitted by a voter.
A photo showing him seated, legs and arms crossed, his hand-knitted mittens in full view, was quickly hijacked by Internet users who had fun superimposing it on other known images.
