A man, suspected of having killed with several stab wounds in Changé (Mayenne) another man who came to collect unpaid rent, was indicted Thursday, January 21, we learned from Delphine Dewailly, prosecutor of the Republic of Le Mans.

The victim, born in 1956, and without any criminal record, came to the home of a family on Tuesday in order to recover the amount of the rent, as part of his professional activities.
An individual present on the spot allegedly stabbed him one or more, which turned out to be fatal,
”the prosecutor said.

The 29-year-old suspect, already convicted of acts of willful violence, was arrested, placed in police custody, then presented to the Le Mans public prosecutor's office on Thursday. He was indicted on the count of murder and the prosecution requested that he be placed in pre-trial detention,
”added the prosecutor. The respondent faces a sentence of 30 years of criminal imprisonment.
