The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the two suicide bombings that struck the center of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, today, killing and wounding dozens.
"We firmly condemn this brazen terrorist attack aimed at destabilizing friendly Iraq, and we express solidarity with the Iraqi leadership and people in combating terrorism in all its forms," a foreign ministry statement said.
The statement added, "We affirm the importance of revitalizing joint international efforts aimed at addressing this global threat relentlessly and effectively, regardless of the slogans covered by its followers and sponsors."
