(ANSA) - PESCARA, 21 JAN - The events of the Marshal of the Carabinieri Camillo Neviani, who saved many Jews and helped two of them get married despite deportation, the declaration of Chieti as an "open city" and the history of the partisans of the Palombaro Band: these are some of the topics addressed by the students of the "Luigi di Savoia" State Industrial Technical Institute in Chieti as part of the project "Let's project the history of stumbling blocks onto the walls".
Conceived by Serena Cecconi, expert consultant for the Institutions, and Lidia Gattini, of Mandragola Editrice, the project was born from the need to offer schools an original workshop on the Shoah and a celebratory event that could be carried out safely, but with the involvement of students and citizens.
The restrictions due to the health emergency have led to the reshaping of the initiative, whose principles and value have nevertheless remained unchanged.
Savoia joined with conviction as leader, in network with the Liceo Toschi in Parma and the Aldini Valeriani Higher Education Institute in Bologna, to the project financed by Miur through the Call for "Promotion of institutional events, days, national anniversaries and communication campaigns".
About 80 students involved in Italy, including those of five fifth classes of the school of Chieti.
Starting in November and going on with the production of a broadcast and a video, the project will come to an end on 27 January, Memorial Day, with the screening of the film made by the students.
The pupils today completed the podcast recording with the speaker Riccardo Cotumaccio.
Referents of the project are the teachers Antonella Aceto, AnnamariaCampana and Maurizio Roccioletti, coordinated by the school director Annamaria Giusti.
